Kitchen of a contemporary mountain home
(via Greenville Mountain Home)
A residence built on an undeveloped 5,000 sf infill lot that slopes to the east and features a large Star Magnolia tree and views of Mount Hood and the Willamette Valley. The Owner grew up in a family-owned lumber yard / construction company and wanted a home that expressed the use of simple “off the shelf” construction materials and the art of construction framing.
Really, who doesn’t need an indoor pool? :)

This modern, open concept home receives room separation from different elements… a kitchen island/breakfast bar, a trestle table in the dining area (which also features built-in banquette seating), and a sectional sofa in the living area.
Combined, the spaces flow together into a crisp, clean, bright living space. Additionally, the abundance of windows and a wood ceiling bring the outdoors in.
